Ditch the grains with this delicious, low-carb bagel recipe that won’t knock you out of ketosis. Bagels are a wondrous yet dangerous creation. The crisp, flavorful exterior combined with a chewy and spongy inside makes these gluten bombs hard to resist.

Removing carbs from your diet doesn’t mean you have to turn your back on the foods you love. We did our homework on the ingredients in this recipe and have taken the utmost care in curating ingredients that will keep your energy levels and focus optimized.

Psyllium husk and almond flour are the stars of this recipe, bringing plenty of insulin-regulating fiber to the party. Both ingredients are gluten-free, lower blood sugar and drastically curb post-meal insulin spikes post.

Indulge a little without guilt, stay in ketosis and kick some ass with these dense, chewy, rosemary keto bagels. Feel free to add any other toppings you like, as well, such as sea salt and cayenne pepper.

Rosemary Keto Bagels

Rosemary Keto Bagels recipeStart to Finish: 55 minutes (10 minutes active)

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons psyllium husk powder
  • 1 whole egg
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary, chopped
  • Avocado oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 250F.
  2. Mix almond flour, xanthan gum, baking soda and salt together in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and warm water together. Stir in psyllium husk until there are no clumps.
  4. Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients.
  5. Coat bagel mold with avocado oil.
  6. Press dough into mold.
  7. Sprinkle rosemary on top.
  8. Place in oven and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove and cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
