How does someone find out which companies use your mushroom?

      • Moonbat_One

Yes, that’s exactly what I was going to ask

  • Jaz

Nice podcast today, guys. I’ve been using mushrooms for a couple years now and have fully experienced their immune-supporting properties. Jeff, what’s your opinion on AHCC? That’s the product I’ve had the best success with so far.

    • Hi Jaz,

I would need to read up on it more but if you feel that it’s helping, that’s great.

It was developed by a Japanese company based off shiitake mycelium. They seem to be paying for all the research as well (can be a conflict of interest).

The main question for me is, are these retail products using materials from this Japanese company from which all the research is based on?

If it’s a different company, can the research be used as a creditable source for their product? Are the products identical?

I noticed a ton of Chinese companies on Alibaba selling “AHCC” so companies are attempting to duplicate it. Whether it’s of the same quality is another question.

Make sure to look into the research on Google Scholar or PubMed and look at the dosages. A lot of the time very high dosages are used in order to produce some type of response.

      Hope this helps.

    • Titus

Jaz, which AHCC product are you seeing success with?

I give reishi extract to my 12 yo daughter who has asthma. It seems too hard to find the Brand I trust without alcohol. I tried a few, some of them works very well and she able to avoid her meds. Where can I find the mushroom extract by Nammex?
