Packaged cleanse drinks can come spiked with added colors and flavors, or the wrong types of sugar alcohols that can irritate your gut. Not only is this detox drink sugar-free, it also contains anti-inflammatory ingredients to help you bounce back faster.

This dark and delicious charcoal detox drink contains a mix of powerful ingredients. Apple cider vinegar helps balance blood sugar and fight GI distress, while activated charcoal works to bind toxins like heavy metals in your body. Turmeric adds a warm, anti-inflammatory boost to this detox drink, and a blend of aloe water and FATwater delivers energizing refreshment with every sip.

The charcoal detox drink is great first thing in the morning, but you can also enjoy it at night. If you do, swap the FATwater for filtered water spiked with lemon juice.

Activated Charcoal Detox Drink

Start to Finish: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pure aloe water or juice with no added sugar or preservatives
  • 1 cup lemon FATwater, or filtered water with lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons raw apple cider vinegar
  • 2 capsules activated coconut charcoal
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pour liquid ingredients into a blender or glass.
  2. Open charcoal capsules and empty into liquid. Discard the capsule portion.
  3. Add ground turmeric.
  4. Pulse or vigorously stir until turmeric and charcoal are incorporated.
  5. Pour over ice and serve.
